Dr. Daniel Matrix (father, deceased)

Joan Matrix (mother, deceased

History:

Doc Matrix mutant ability was apparent at birth when a duplicate was created upon his being slapped by the doctor. Two weeks later, Doc's father resigned from the Los Alamos Nuclear Research Center and moved his family to an intentionally isolated farm in Kansas at the suggestion of there doctor. Later, Damien Tryp, of Singularity Investigations, made his own offer to look after Doc, claiming that Doc was not in fact a mutant, but a "changeling," a predecessor to mutants whom develop their powers at birth. Doc's parents, however, refused to give Doc to Tryp. From a young age, Matrix was given a special suit to wear that would neutralize his mutant power, but before this could be explained to him a freak tornado killed his parents when he was 13, recently revealed to have been caused by Tryp.

Matrix spent the next six years alone caring for his parents' farm. When he was 19, malfunctioning control elements in the suit caused a power surge that released his inhibited power and caused the suit to begin absorbing ambient electrical energy. Confused, frightened, and driven mad by isolation, Matrix felt himself drawn to New York City.

There, he clashed with the law until others arrived to defuse the situation. With the help of others, Matrix's suit was repaired and he accompanied The others back to his mansion in Westchester. There, Matrix's temporary madness was cured and, after learning to cope with his powers, he was invited to join them. He declined, and instead accompanied Elena to Zibyl Island where he became a laboratory assistant to mutant researchers. Matrix's ability proved invaluable to Elena, and he quickly became a regular fixture on Zibyl. Unfortunately, Matrix also found himself battling against threats, one of who possessed one of Doc's duplicates in order to escape confinement on Zibyl. The possession instantly killed the duplicate, and for the first time Paradox felt the severe psychic backlash this caused. After the duplicated was defeated, Doc again declined to join the The others, preferring to remain on Zibyl with Elena. He has thus been there since. Witnessing everything from the beginning.

Powers:

Molecular Biokinesis
His ability grants him the ability to speed up, slow down, split, grow, and restore his cells, atoms, molecules, and other parts of his body in general, by speeding up his vision, cells he can see through objects. This being his main ability it gives him a variety of smaller abilities. Over all he can manipulate his molecules at will, granting him many abilities, that affect his personal being.

Kinetic Duplication: He creates an identical physical living duplicate of himself upon any physical impact, possibly via extra dimensional mass acquisition. This process is spontaneous and cannot be prevented by Doc. Although he can create multiple duplicates, and the duplicates themselves can also replicate, each is only able to create one duplicate at a time; he has been seen to produce around forty duplicates before no more would be created. The duplicates think, feel, and act independently, though usually guided by the original. Each tends to manifest one aspect of Doc's personality, which increases in strength with lengthier separation from the original; these traits have recently become more extreme. Doc is telepathically and empathetical linked to his duplicates, suffering severe, potentially fatal, trauma if one dies. If Doc himself were killed, any existing duplicates would continue to function independently; it is said in theory, that if the original Doc was killed, that one of his active dupes is capable of taking over as the new original and will assume the dominant abilities and collective personality that the original Doc had. It is virtually impossible to distinguish the original from the duplicates.

Duplication Absorption: One Clone can absorb them back into himself at will, at the same time absorbing the memories, skills and experiences of the duplicate

Duplication Experience Transference: Doc merges back, he retains memories (albeit somewhat imperfect), knowledge, and experiences of the dupe.

Duplication Healing: He also uses merging as a form of healing - Originally, uninjured "shared" the damage when they reemerged (e.g., if an injured dupe merged with an uninjured Doc, the resulting Doc had an injury half as severe as the original injury). Now, however, the core Doc can reabsorb injured or even near-dead dupes without taking on any of their physical injuries at all.

Speed Physiology: Doc's body is adapted towards the rigors of high-speed running. His cardiovascular and respiratory systems are many times more efficient than those of a normal human being. He metabolizes an estimated 95% of the caloric energy content of foodstuffs (normal human use is about 25%). The chemical processes of Doc's musculature are so highly enhanced that his body does not generate fatigue poisons, the normal by-products of locomotion, which force the body to rest. Rather, his body constantly expels waste products during his accelerated respiration through exhalation. His joints are smoother and lubricated more efficiently than those of a normal human being. His tendons have the tensile strength of spring steel. His bones contain unknown materials significantly more durable than calcium to withstand the dynamic shocks of his feet touching the ground at speeds a human could never achieve or withstand. Doc's practical reaction time is several times faster than a normal human's and the speed at which his brain processes information is heightened to a level commensurate with his bodily speed, enabling him to perceive his surroundings while traveling at high velocities. Doc's lachrymose is more viscous than normal, thus preventing rapid evaporation and replenishment of surface fluids on his eyeballs under the influence of high wind velocity to occlude his vision.

Superhuman Speed: He was originally capable of running faster than the speed of sound (770 miles per hour). He had sufficient energy reserves that enabled him to run at this average speed for an unknown amount of hours before reducing his speed to replenish his body's store of energy. Doc has used his powers of acceleration for various feats. He has plucked an arrow out of the air from a standing start, and has dodged machine gun fire. He has created cyclone-like gusts of wind, which are able to knock a man off his feet. He is able to run across the Atlantic Ocean and to oversea continents without having to stop, run up the sides of buildings effortlessly. He is currently capable of reaching high supersonic speeds up to at least Mach 4 (3,080 miles per hour), he can probably run faster. Doc is also immune to the effects of friction, reduced oxygen up to a point where a human can no longer breathe, and impact upon his body while moving at super-speeds. He has traveled around the world by running on top of the ocean water and even ran all the way up Mount Everest without slowing down and went flying above cloud level as a result.

Molecular Destabilization: Through the course of his life as a mutant, his super speed has granted him numerous abilities. One of the very peculiar ones was being able to vibrate his molecular structure at high speeds. He has demonstrated the full effect which enables him to destabilize atomic matter by accelerating its molecules often causing it to fall apart or explode usually by touching it. He has the ability to fly for short periods of time.

Enhanced Durability: He is capable of resisting tremendous impact forces that could easily crush and kill a human without suffering any internal injuries. Of ocurse this would cause him to split into several other Docs

Molecular Chronokinesis: Doc has the power to vibrate his atoms so quickly he traveled forward in time. His molecular speed that he generated displaced him out of the mainstream time/space so that he was able to propel himself into the future. He could leap from an hour to up to twelve days, and remain for several minutes to several hours before being recalled to his present time once his body tired, or he could return at will before his time was up. As he returned from his trip, he returned the exact moment he left so as to appear that he had been gone for half a nanosecond. He was able to bring inorganic objects from the future back to his correct time, although it was not shown what would happen if he attempted to bring organic objects with him. These new powers were having an affect on his physical health. Each time he met up with his future self (if indeed the person he met was his future self), the future self looked more and more haggard.

Chronokinesis is the ability to mentally alter time. With this ability, one could travel through time, control the speed of subjects' movement, slow down foes, and speed oneself up. One with this power could even accelerate or reverse the aging process on any subject one desires. This ability may also include the manipulation of space as well in accordance with the time-space continuum.

Phasing: Doc possessed the ability to pass through solid matter by passing his atoms through the spaces between the atoms of the object through which he was moving. In this way he and the object through which he was passing could temporarily merge without interacting, and each was unharmed when Doc had finished passing through the object. This process was called "phasing." When Doc was phasing, he was, for all intents ad purposes, intangible. Hence, when attacked, he could shift into a "phasing" state (even if he was not at the time passing through an object) so as to allow oncoming projectiles or energy blasts to pass through him harmlessly. Doc passed through objects at the same rate of speed at which he was moving before he "entered" it. He trained himself to go automatically, by reflex, into a phasing state at any indication of danger, such as a loud noise like a gunshot, in order to protect himself.

Air Walking: Using his phasing ability, Doc could walk on air. In fact, he could use his ability to walk on the air from the ground to the upper stories of a building as if he were climbing a staircase.

Phasing Extension: From the first use of his phasing power, Doc was able to phase his clothing along with himself. Through practice he learned to phase other objects along with himself without harm to them. He could also enable someone to "walk on air" along with him. However, he had to maintain physical contact with the people or objects he phased along with himself for the effect to work with this other person or object.

Molecular Distortion: ability to move through solid matter by disabling binding forces. This causes the matter to crumble, or break down around as she passes through it.

Electrical Disruption: He could phase through any material object, even living people. When he phased through an object with an electrical system, the process disrupted the system's workings.

Telepathic Resistance: His thoughts were highly erratic when phased as if there was no mind to telepathically affect. This made him immune to possession, and his thoughts unreadable.

Biokinesis: Doc is capable of controlling the biological structure of his own and other people's bodies. Theoretically capable of rewriting someone's genetic structure at will. He can speed up specific bio molecular energy at will to affect organic matter he touches, allowing him to heal physical damage done to his body or the bodies of others, reactivate suppressed mutant abilities, repair cerebral functions, and alter the composition of his own molecules in certain ways. He hasn't reached his full healing potential yet. Currently he is capable of basic healing, having successfully healed broken bones, severe burns and even a mortal stab through the chest. His ability is by close proximity - he tends to touch his targets, but can heal through clothing.

Metamorph: He can psionically alter the formation of his biological cells at will. As a result he can cause himself to look and sound like an exact duplicate of any human, humanoid, or semi-humanoid being of either sex, wearing virtually any kind of clothing. His control is so exact that he can precisely duplicate another persons retina pattern in his own eyes, finger, palm and skin-pore patterns on his own hands and skin, and vocal cords to match voices to the point of corresponding voice prints. While he can make himself look exactly like a person who is physically bigger than himself, he will not weigh as much as the real person does. Although he can maintain the form of a person of his height, weight, and build indefinitely, the longer that he maintains the form of a person physically bigger than himself, the greater the strain he feels.

Retarded Aging: Retarded the degenerative effects of his aging process.

Electrical Friction: By gathering Electrons through friction he can shoot bolts of lightning from his finger tips, this can range from a small jolt to get the heart beating, to a electric discharge that can mess up the nervous system.

Abilities:

Doc has acquired extensive knowledge and skills via his duplicates' experiences, such as human anatomy, speaking Russian, and Shaolin monk stealth techniques. He also has hand to hand combat training, learned as part of The others and from a dupe who studied martial arts. Doc is a certified lawyer, has medical training, and training as a gymnast, and can pick locks.

Madrox possesses the normal human strength of a man of his age, height, and build who engages in intensive regular exercise.

Peak Flexibility:
Madrox, is a very flexible individual, able to move well.

Equipment:

P!nk uniform, made from 9-ply Kevlar (able to withstand ballistic impact up to .45 caliber bullets)and beta-cloth, a fire-resistant material whose kindling temperature is 1,700 °F (930 °C). Numerous P!nk paraphernalia including a radio-link tie, and a bulletproof suit. Nth Metal Equipment.

Lastly his favorite
All purpose, Laser projected Pistol, capable of firing 200 shots in under 2 minutes.
